“Like she promises, Chelsea is a compassionate, empathetic, and positive birth coach. My partner and I could not have felt more supported during our birth experience. Leading up to birth, Chelsea spent time getting to know us and our birth plan. She inquired about our desires for birth in such a warm and supportive way. Our birth experience proved challenging with a long, arduous labor. However, one positive thing that stands out to us is the support Chelsea provided. She was at my side the entire time through all of the ups and downs. We could not recommend Chelsea as a birth coach more.” - Erica V
“When I found out I was pregnant again, it was unplanned by my husband and I. My first birth experience was traumatic, which ended in an unplanned c-section, and I knew I didn't want that kind of experience again. I started looking for a doula to help me prepare physically and mentally to hopefully have a VBAC. When I spoke to Chelsea, I felt very assured by her even knowing she was in training and that I would be her first VBAC birth. She was willing to meet me in person, and I could tell right away that she was a genuine, caring, and dedicated person.
Choosing Chelsea as my doula was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. She helped educate me during my pregnancy. She checked in to see how I was doing, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I felt like I could trust her and that she had a genuine concern over my well-being. She was happy to go to several of my doctor appointments. Not only did she feel like a healthcare professional by my side, she took notes of all the things I would've forgotten on my own. She was also an advocate to help me make the best informed decisions for myself. She helped prepare me for the outcome of the possibility of a c-section and how I would want that experience to be.
When I went into labor Chelsea drove me to the hospital and was by my side the entire time. She really helped me mentally with the fears I had about having a VBAC. She helped me physically manage the pain of contractions and took so many measures for my physical comfort, from applying pressure during contractions to oils and so on. It was true one on one attention and constant encouragement. I didn't believe I was capable of having an unmedicated VBAC, I thought that surely I'd end up having another c-section. I firmly believe it's only because I had such amazing support and encouragement that I successfully had an amazing unmedicated VBAC. It was an incredibly healing experience that I'm proud of. Even after the birth, Chelsea made sure I was comfortable and settled in my room in Recovery before going home after a very long day. As a Mom herself, I was amazed by how supportive she was capable of being. She is truly inspiring. My personal experience during pregnancy and birth is now an invaluable experience that I'll always cherish. I'm incredibly grateful to her and her compassion and commitment to educate and empower women when they are their most vulnerable. I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone who's looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated doula.” - Lacey G
